Autumn Retreat 2025

Welcome to the Autumn Retreat!

Autumn Retreat: Art, Story, and Spirit

Welcome to our autumn retreat, where art meets spirituality.
This year we journey into storytelling and the Yamas and Niyamas: the ten ethical principles of yoga that guide us towards harmony, compassion, and inner clarity. Through story, we will explore our challenges and inspirations, reflect on our path, and renew our vision of who we wish to become.

Our creative guides are Kamala and Maetreya.
Kamala, creator of Story Farm, awakens the art of storytelling with honesty and heart.
Maetreya weaves journeys of light and sound that open the senses and quiet the mind.
Together they lead us into a space where art and meditation meet.

From the dawn kiirtans to the evening meditations, the retreat unfolds in rhythm, creativity, and reflection.

The story begins with a gentle journey of light and sound on Friday evening.
On Saturday morning, we meet the Yamas and Niyamas and explore weaving them into short, three-line stories in the form of Haiku. In the afternoon we team up to create collective stories, and in the evening we share our creations with one another.

On Sunday, the focus on spiritual practice deepens. We begin with Akhanda Kiirtan—three hours of devotional chanting and dance—and end with Sadhana Shiviir, two hours alternating twenty minutes of kiirtan and twenty minutes of meditation. Between these, we breathe, reflect, and consider how to carry the spirit of the Yamas and Niyamas into our lives going forward.

This retreat is an invitation to listen more attentively, meditate more deeply, speak from the heart, and live with the quiet courage of the Yamas and Niyamas.

Leave refreshed, inspired, and ready to let your life tell its truest story.

Facilitators & Workshops:

Kamala – Divine Storytelling

Through the art of storytelling, Kamala guides participants to rediscover their authentic story, awaken creativity, and align passion with purpose.
We explore:

• Discovering the story that is alive in you now
• Awakening creativity through play and artistic expression
• Weaving your story with the principles of Yama and Niyama
• Sharing and celebrating our stories as a collective

Her sessions bring together reflection, play, and purpose, leading to a heartfelt creative showcase at the end of the retreat.

Maetreya – The Light Loom

The Light Loom
A sound and light vision journey inspired by Yama and Niyama.
An immersive opening experience that blends sound frequencies, light, and silence, inviting participants to explore the luminous principles that guide conscious living.

Take a Stand
A closing ceremony of embodiment and commitment.
Participants are invited to reflect on the principles that touched them most and declare their alignment in a shared field of gratitude and presence.
